dnd 5e Indizi su un'ambientazione non ancora annunciata dal GameHole Con

Thomas Valley, coordinatore dell'Adventurer's League presso il GameHole Con (una fiera del Gdr americana), ha di recente pubblicato sulla sua pagina Facebook un annuncio dedicato alla ricerca di DM volontari per le classiche campagne di D&D organizzate durante simili eventi. La cosa interessante di questo annuncio, però, è il fatto che al suo interno viene menzionata una "ambientazione non ancora annunciata".

All'interno del suo post, infatti, spiccano in particolare due frasi riguardanti gli eventi dell'Adventurer's League che verranno organizzati al GameHole Con 2019:

• L'anteprima di un evento Epico che sarà ambientato in un setting non ancora annunciato.
• L'anteprima di un'avventura ambientata in un setting non ancora annunciato.

Ora, dietro all'espressione "setting non ancora annunciato" possono nascondersi molto cose. Le seguenti sono speculazioni che vengono in mente a me personalmente, anche se non c'è ancora nessuna notizia ufficiale sulla questione.

Si tratta di una ambientazione non annunciata, quindi in teoria non dovrebbe trattarsi di un manuale per Eberron, per Ravenloft, per i Forgotten Realms e per Ravnica, visto che tutte queste ambientazioni sono state annunciate e sono oramai legali per il DMs Guild, anche se per alcune di esse non esiste ancora alcun manuale cartaceo (Eberron).
Quanto detto appena qua sopra, però, potrebbe non essere assolutamente vero. Il "non annunciato" potrebbe riguardare il fatto che il prodotto di per sè non è stato ancora annunciato, dunque potrebbe trattarsi di un manuale su Eberron o di qualche altro supplemento su una nuova regione dei Forgotten Realms.
A tutto queste riflessioni, infine, si aggiunge il solito trolling di Nathan Stewart della WotC che, dopo aver affermato qualche mese fa che Spelljammer non era in programma in tempi brevi, qualche giorno fa ha di nuovo pubblicato un Tweet criptico che riguarda l'ambientazione Science Fantasy di D&D. E' da tenere presente, infatti, che Nathan Stewart è noto per la sua abitudine di rilasciare indizi criptici e informazioni ingannevoli, in modo da giocare con la curiosità del pubblico. Quindi Nathan Stewart sta usando Spelljammer ancora una volta per distrarci oppure no?

Ovviamente, l'unico modo per scoprire cosa bolle in pentola per D&D 5e quest'anno dobbiamo aspettare l'annuncio ufficiale della WotC, probabilmente tra la fine della primavera e l'inizio dell'estate.
