Questo cosa significa praticamente?

1) Il monaco viene trattato come esterno [come nel perfect self] E ottiene il sottotipo caotico?

2) Il monaco ottiene il sottotipo caotico MA NON verrà considerato di un tipo diverso da quello originario [es. umanoide]?

Se fosse la seconda (come credo) sinceramente come capacità è assolutamente inutile essendo che l'essere chaotic subtype fa solo in modo che le armi che impugni siano considerate allineate caotiche (per quelle naturali lo ottiene già al 10° livello col ki strike (chaotic)) e che tu subisca sempre gli effetti degli incantesimi riservati ai caotici, anche se non fosse il tuo allineamento [ma è prerequisito del monaco caotico essere caotico quindi la questione di per sè non si pone]...

Chaotic Subtype

A subtype usually applied only to outsiders native to the chaotic-aligned Outer Planes. Most creatures that have this subtype also have chaotic alignments; however, if their alignments change they still retain the subtype. Any effect that depends on alignment affects a creature with this subtype as if the creature has a chaotic alignment, no matter what its alignment actually is. The creature also suffers effects according to its actual alignment. A creature with the chaotic subtype overcomes damage reduction as if its natural weapons and any weapons it wields were chaotic-aligned (see Damage Reduction, below).

Perfect Self

At 20th level, a monk becomes a magical creature. She is forevermore treated as an outsider rather than as a humanoid (or whatever the monk’s creature type was) for the purpose of spells and magical effects. Additionally, the monk gains damage reduction 10/magic, which allows her to ignore the first 10 points of damage from any attack made by a nonmagical weapon or by any natural attack made by a creature that doesn’t have similar damage reduction. Unlike other outsiders, the monk can still be brought back from the dead as if she were a member of her previous creature type.
