Salve, ho un dubbio, come interagiscono tra di loro i talenti "Sentinella" e "Maestro con le Armi ad Asta" con l'abilità "Hold the Line" della sottoclasse Cavaliere del Guerriero. Apparentemente mi pare di capire facciano più o meno la stessa cosa no? Quindi diventa inutile prendere quei talenti nel caso si scelga il Cavaliere come sottoclasse o ho interpretato male io?
 

Hold the Line

At 10th level, you become a master of locking down your enemies. Creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they move 5 feet or more while within your reach, and if you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, the target's speed is reduced to 0 until the end of the current turn

Sentinel

You have mastered techniques to take advantage of every drop in any enemy's guard, gaining the following benefits:

• When you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, the creature's speed becomes 0 for the rest of the turn.

• Creatures provoke opportunity attacks from you even if they take the Disengage action before leaving your reach.

• When a creature within 5 feet of you makes an attack against a target other than you (and that target doesn't have this feat), you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the attacking creature.

You can keep your enemies at bay with reach weapons. You gain the following benefits:

Sono simili, ma diversi:

hold the line punisce qualsiasi movimento dentro la tua portata (quindi devono essere già dentro): tipo ti girano attorno o si sganciano.

sentinel punisce chi si allontana dalla tua portata (ma non chi ti gira attorno), anche se usa l’azione Sganciarsi. In più puoi usare la tua reazione per attaccare i nemici vicino a te che colpiscono un alleato e questo è in ottima sinergia con il privilegio di terzo unwavering mark che usa la tua azione bonus.

polearm master punisce chi entra nella tua portata e ha una buona sinergia con hold the line, visto che quest’ultimo schiaffa a zero la loro velocità.

Quindi in breve: no, non sono ridondanti, anzi sono in ottima sinergia tra loro.
