You may find two "bugs" in the win95-shell. Here is how you could "remove" them:

* "I cant change human-settings below 100%"

  Read the HLP-file (c:

  This isnt a bug, but a setting-limit. Yo cant lower it UNTIL YOU CHANGE ANY OTHER to 100% !

* "The hourglass while generating never disappears"
  (-> leads to the "Cant open.." Error sometimes)

   This is because the dos-window of tavern.exe doesnt close. You have to enable the
   "close on exit" option in an alias-file of tavern.exe

   Another reason for this may be: The path to the program MUSTNT have a complex directory-tree.
   (Having more than 8 letter, using spaces, etc.) Note: MY version HAS a complex tree and still
   works (!), but another user couldnt run WinTavern, and after he moved the folder with the program
   to an "dosname-only" like tree, it worked! So, who understands Win95.....

If it still not works:
Are you sure you downloaded the PROGRAM (tavern.zip) also? Maybe you only have the SHELL (wintav.zip) but not the program itself!

STARTING SOUND

If you want an Opening-Sound when starting WinTavern, just copy a .wav file into the directory and call it opening.wav. There is one included in my version, but as it only prolongs downloading time, Ive removed it from the archieve.
